traditional yoga

The practice of Himalayan yoga is based on the traditional hatha yogic discipline. This wisdom is created by the Himalayan masters and forms the base for all different paths of yoga (raja yoga, jnana yoga, bhakti yoga, kundalini yoga & swara yoga).

Traditional hatha yoga is based on
  • universal principles of Yama-Niyama (yogic life style)
  • Asana (body positions)
  • Pranayama (art of breath)
  • Mantra (science of spiritual power of sound)
  • Mudras (art of spiritual gestures)
  • Bandhas (redirection of energy through special yogic Locks)
  • Pratyahara ("centering" of senses)
  • Dharana (Concentration)
  • Dhyana (meditation)
  • Samadhi (experience of unity of individual and universal)
and also basic knowledge of principles of Vastu (science of space-energy applied in to our everyday life) and Ayurveda (ancient art of medical science of healthy life).

By following this traditional hatha yogic discipline you are changing habitual patterns and mental programs of the mind. A state of awareness will be developed which will transform ignorance into awakening. The art of living, which will slowly appear into your consciousness, will reflect on your daily life by talking, walking, working, cooking, loving, etc. Then yoga or unity will come in each moment in your life.
